The enthusiasm of the spectators have gone a way to help create an exciting atmosphere at the events.

Inside the Bird's Nest, the Men's 5000m is taking place. The sound of the spectators cheering fills the stadium. They are showing their support for the last athlete to cross the finishing line.
Spectator Guo Yun said, "The Paralympic Games display strength and strong will, whereas the Summer Olympics are more about skills. But both are equally splendid".
It's the fourth time that businesswoman Li Yanhong is attending a Paralympic event. And she says the competitions here show the importance of willpower for all people.
Other spectators feel the Paralympic Games offer disabled athletes a chance to excel.
Spectator Gao Liang said, "In everyday life, they may experience much inconvenience, and it can surely sometimes be very difficult for them to undertake even simple tasks. But here,on the track they do not perform badly at all, compared to able-bodied people, in fact sometimes they are even better."
Thousands of Beijing residents have formed a cheering squad. They are in the arena at every competition, cheering for the athletes. Squad members say they find the events exciting and hope their cheering helps the Paralympians.
