Karen played brilliantly to beat Britain's Nigel Murnay in the final.

In the Paralympics, Boccia is a sport played mainly by athletes with cerebral palsy. Karen competes in the BC2 class. In the individual format, each match consists of four legs, known as ends-and each player has six balls per end. At the start of the final, Karen let the occasion get to her and quickly found herself 3-0 down.
Karen's father is coach, not of just of Karen, but of the entire H.K.team. But he insists she doesn't get any special attention.
H.K. won 2 medals in total, 1 short of their target for B.J.
Guo Kerong, HK Boccia team head coach, said, "She's not my daughter when she's on the boccia court. She's just a member of our team. It makes no difference if we're athletes, coaches, or staff, we're all one big family."
Having led her team to a 4th place finish in the boccia standings, no one would be against this father and daughter pairing being equally successfully for many years to come.
