As the host city of the next Summer Olympic Games, London hopes to learn from Beijing's experience. The Chairman of the London Organizing Committee of the 2012 Olympic Games, or LOCOG, says the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games have set a good example for London.

LOCOG Chairman, Sebastian Coe, is a double Olympic champion in athletics. He is particularly impressed by Beijing organizers' focus on the interests of the athletes.
Sebastian Coe, LOCOG Chairman said "The games were a delight to competitors, A great village. Venues were designed with competitors in mind. The transportation system works. It is the primary goal of the organizers to put the athletes on the center stage. Without the athletes, You don't have a show."
LOCOG officials are also impressed by the enthusiasm of the volunteers as well as the general public.
Bill Morris, LOCOG Director of Culture, Ceremonies & Education said "But it is one single abiding memory at the games. That's generally the quality of the welcome. I wrote a blog on London 2012 website about this. Throughout all my interactions, whether it's at venues with officials, on at a local supermarkets. It's not just appropriate welcome."
People in the UK are following the performances of British Paralympians who have already won 7 gold medals and set many new world records. The British media has been running extensive coverage of the Beijing Paralympics.
