The route of torch relay

The Ancient China route will start at the Temple of Heaven and pass through famous ancient Chinese capitals or cities of historic and cultural significance,including Xi'an and Luoyang.

The Modern China route will also begin at the Temple of Heaven. It will pass through some of the nation's most developed cities, including Shenzhen and Shanghai.

On September 5th, the two Paralympic torch relays will converge in Beijing. They will reach the National Stadium for the opening ceremony the next day.

There will be a total of 850 torchbearers on the two routes.

People with disabilities will account for about 20 percent of these torchbearers.
