Jump ropes can get pretty tangled after a trip around the world. The Bouncing Bulldogs are in Beijing. The North Carolina team isn't here to compete in the Olympics, but the Games might have something to do with their summer trip destination.
Eleanor: "When I was little I always dreamed of being at an Olympic competition and seeing all the different sports and the athletes that train so hard."
The Bouncing Bulldogs have been around the world. Now they're in Beijing and they're attracting as much attention as some of the athletes.
Tim: "Everyone loves it. Just to see something new and exciting, people absolutely love it and they want to try it, which is a great thing."
Children at many locations in the city have gotten to try their hand, or feet, at jumping. The Bouncing Bulldogs have performed at the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall. Many people stop to watch the team's jump rope stunts and skills and because of the Olympics, the team members are getting to meet people from lots of different places.
Chelsea: " Usually when you come to a foreign country they just have natives here but we have people from all over. I've met people from Iran, Australia, Canada, so it's good to have a mixture of everyone here."
And these people are glad to have the Bouncing Bulldogs here too and happy to congratulate them on a job well done, something the Bulldogs hope will happen again someday if they have the chance to compete in the Olympics.
