The commander of the peacekeeping troops in Sudan's Darfur region has spoken highly about Chinese soldiers' contribution in the region.
Chinese army engineers helped construct the camp ahead of schedule and contributed greatly to extending Nyala Airport.
General Agwai said Chinese peacekeepers have played an excellent role in the region. China sent its first batch of army engineers to Darfur in 2007. They were the first peacekeeping force to arrive in the region after the AU forces.
