During his meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Hu Jintao said China highly appreciated President Lukashenko's statement in April, which clearly opposed some people's attempts to push for a "boycott" of the Beijing Games.
Hu Jintao also met the President of the Republic of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic. He vowed to use the opportunity to discuss boosting bilateral ties and other issues of common concern. Vujanovi said the two countries had stepped up cooperation in various areas. He extended his sincere wishes for China to host a "splendid" Olympics.
