FLO Restaurant

The sauerkraut – Choucroute in French – presented itself as the wonderful combination of German heartiness and French refinement as it should be. Chef Combe refrains from massive portions and the Choucroute came in decent company of two kinds of sausages, smoked ham and stimulating herbs like the dominant cloves and black pepper tastes.

The recreation of the Brasserie Terminus Nord with a mix of Art Nouveau and Art Deco hand-crafted brazen ornaments, sculptures and stained glass, gives the dining the right décor to recreate an original Paris déjeuner or dinner. Flo has a wide palette of house specials from the French brasserie tradition on offer, such as, but not limited to, the half-dozen Brittany oysters, a giant seafood platter, escargot and meat in all its guises.

Prices range from 50 to 120 RMB for entrées, 50 to 70 RMB for the excellent soups and 120 to 380 for main courses. Menus are on offer for reasonable prices between168 RMB for the Menu du Soir and RMB 298 for the more elaborate Menu de Brasserie.

The nice selection of desserts made by in-house pastry chefs varies from skillfully made tarts to uncomplicated fruit selections. Flo, in brief, offers genuine quality at a reasonable price in an authentic setting with arguably and perhaps most importantly, the most attentive and well-groomed waiter staff in Beijing.
