Located in the Duanshen countryside, Wuyuan County of Jiangxi province, Qingyuan Village is also called Xiao Taoyuan and was established in 763 during the reign of Emperor Guangde of the Tang Dynasty, with nearly 1,300 years of history. It has huge mountains, a peculiar topography and deep valleys, as well as a mild climate. The village possesses a profound historical culture and widespread architectural heritage. Qingyuan is a cute little place, slightly off the well-beaten track of more popular tourist villages.
