Sanmenyuan Village, with its eastern, western and northern sides surrounded by mountains, is located in Shifo Township, Longyou County, Zhejiang province. A creek goes through the village from north to south. It has well-preserved Jiangnan folk house styles in its Qing Dynasty structures. Most exquisite is the Ye folk house group, decorated with brick carvings of opera scenes that showcase the exquisite skills of engraver. They are also a valuable source of information for Chinese opera research.

How to get there: 1. Take a train from Shanghai to Longyou County and change for a bus from Longyuan Station to Sanmenyuan Village, 20 minutes' drive;

                            2. Take an express from Hangzhou to Longyuan County, 50 yuan for each, 2-3 hours'drive and change for a bus from Longyuan Station to Sanmenyuan Village, 20 minutes’ drive.

Tips: 1. No hotel and restaurant available in the village. You’d better prepare some dry food or return Longyou County for dinner;

          2. Two kilometers north of the village is a fall that drops 84 meters with a width of 3 meters. Be sure to take a look.
