Mazha Village in Tuyugou Valley is the most ancient village of the Uygur nationality in Xinjiang, with a history of 1,700 years. Mazha is the biggest Islamic place in China and remains the Uygur culture, regarded as the 'living fossil'. The village is famous for its earth architecture, charming natural scenery as well as splendid culture. It has abundant well-preserved folk houses and all of them are made of loess, raw soil and wood with various kinds of carving on doorframes. It is knowns as "the first earth village in China".

Admission: 6 yuan for Seven Sages Ancestral Hall;

How to get there: 1. Take long distance bus from Turpan to Shanshan and get off at Duyugou Mazha Village;

                            2. Take bus from Turpan to Tuyutou (7 yuan each one);

Tips: 1. There is no hotel in the village. You can live in folk houses and give some money or take a tent by yourself;

         2. The village does not have any restaurant, so remember take some food.
