Zhanqiao Pier (栈桥) is the symbol of Qingdao. It was built in 1893 and used to be a port when Qingdao was still a small village at that time. Since it is very close to the Qingdao railway station, it is the most frequently visiting spot in Qingdao. It is 400 meters long with a pavilion called Huilange Pavilion by its end. There are sometimes some displays in the Huilange Pavilion and most of time it sells various kinds of sea products and ornaments. The sixth bathing beach was just under Zhanqiao Pier where you can enjoy the sunshine and swim in the sea.
