Fog affected voyage between Chinese mainland city Xiamen and Taiwan's Jinmen Saturday, with 18 ships to Jinmen being cancelled, local authorities said.

Only six ships from Wutong dock traveled to Jinmen, carrying 1,121passengers. But about 2,000 other passengers affected after the cancellation of voyages, according to the authorities.

Passengers whose travel was hampered were encouraged to have their tickets returned or changed. Local maritime authorities closely monitored so as to ensure safety of sea traffic.
