According to Ctrip.com, both Cathay Pacific Airways and Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited have decreased their surcharges by more than 40%.
Zhang Wei, senior director of the air ticket business department of Ctrip.com, told local media that from December 1, Cathay Pacific has decreased the surcharge for the roundtrip flights between Hong Kong and Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent, from t USD106.7 to USD64; and the surcharges for the other routes went down from USD25.1 to USD13.8.
Meanwhile, Dragonair has decreased the surcharge for the roundtrip flights between Hong Kong and the Indian subcontinent from the original USD106.7 to USD64; and the surcharges for the other routes went down from USD25.1 to USD13.8.
