Mainland airlines regular flights to Taiwan

The Civil Aviation Administration of China has published the assignment plan for Chinese mainland airlines operating regular charter flights to Taiwan.

In addition to the original six Chinese mainland carriers — Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, and Shanghai Airlines — three additional airlines of Sichuan Airlines, Shandong Airlines, and Shenzhen Airlines will be allowed to operate the cross-strait charter flights.

The nine airlines will offer a total of 54 flights a week: Air China will operate 10 flights, China Eastern 12, China Southern 10, Hainan Airlines five, Xiamen Airlines six, Shanghai Airlines five, and Sichuan Airlines, Shandong Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines each has two flights a week.

In addition to the current mainland destinations of Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, Guangzhou, Xiamen, and Nanjing, there will be 16 new destinations: Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Dalian, Guilin, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Fuzhou, Qingdao, Changsha, Haikou, Kunming, Xi'an, Shenyang, Tianjin, and Zhengzhou.
