Finnair plans to cancel Helsinki-Guangzhou route
Adjust font size:

It is reported that Finnair is planning to cancel the nonstop route from Helsinki to Guangzhou from November 1, 2008.

The nonstop Helsinki-Guangzhou route has been open for three years. At present, there are four flights a week on this route.

A sales manager from Finnair told local media that although the occupancy rate of flights from Helsinki to Guangzhou reached 100% during the period of the Chinese Export Commodities Fair, due to the small number of Northern Europeans working in Guangzhou, the company decided to suspend the nonstop route to Guangzhou. Finnair still operates a nonstop flight to Hong Kong every day, and there are many options for travelers between Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
