Ten couples who postponed their marriage until the 2010 World Expo tied the knot at the Dutch Pavilion on October 10. The tenth day of the tenth month of 2010 is believed to be an auspicious day by many Chinese as "10-10-10" symbolises "perfection in everything."

Eric Verwaal, Consul General of the Netherlands in Shanghai, delivered his best wishes to the new couples. Each newly wed received a marriage certificate issued by the Dutch Pavilion.

The certificate has been stamped and is one of a limited edition of 10.

On the lucky date, 10,150 couples said "I do" at Shanghai's marriage registration offices.
