As the largest island country in the west Indian archipelago, Cuba is located to the northwest of the Caribbean Sea. On Monday morning, Cuba celebrated its National Pavilion Day inside World Expo park.
The theme of the Cuba Pavilion is "A City for Everyone."
And it was only natural to get in the beat through the passionate Latin music, which is embraced so warmly by everyone in this country. Whether it was the mambo, rumba or cha-cha, the dancing spirit runs in the blood of Cuban people, and it is intricately woven into ordinary life here.
Walking through these buildings, visitors will feel like they are at the center of a Cuban town. And they are likely to bump into Havana Cigar House, which displays classical Cuban cigars as well as information on the culture and history of cigars. Cuban cocktails are served at the Havana Club Bar inside the pavilion.
Mojito is the most famous cocktail here. It was also liked by Ernest Hemingway. In the old town of Havana, the Hemingway Bar is the one most frequented by the writer who spent most of his twilight years in the country.
Miriam Martinez, commissioner general of Cuba Pavilion, said, "This is the place where you could feel the development of Cuban cities. It belongs to everyone. Regardless of their sex, age, nationality and color, you can feel its beauty and the passion and romance of Cuban people."
The multi-functional public square not only represents the core spirits of Cuban cities, but also demonstrates the theme of the pavilion, providing equal opportunities for all residents and involving them in urban construction and transformation.
