Children make up a substantial portion of the Expo crowd. Organizers haven't forgotten these little visitors; several pavilions offer unique and interesting features specifically for their youngest patrons.
The Czech Pavilion
Monkeys, Krteks and Bubbles, Oh My!
Children love animals, and they love dressing up. Why not combine the two? Visitors to the Czech Pavilion can receive a very special monkey mask while waiting in line. The mask resembles the Meihouwang ("Monkey King") from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.

A Czech cartoonist has reinterpreted this classic story; children can view this new cartoon version on a video screen at the Czech Pavilion. In addition, the cartoon is interactive; children can place their hands on the video screen and "play" with the Monkey King themselves. Of course, there are some benches here for parents to rest while their children play.
Another well-known cartoon character, a mole named Krtek, is also starring in his own show at the pavilion. Twelve small screens on one of the walls play several different cartoons, including one about Krtek. Originally a Czech cartoon character, Krtek was particularly popular in China during the 1980s. He is still beloved by children all over the world, even to this day.

Outside the pavilion, children can enjoy a "bubble show" courtesy of a Czech clown. The clown creates small and giant bubbles, inviting children to make bubbles with him.
