The Shanghai World Expo Park will hold an inauguration ceremony for the Egyptian Pavilion, which has gathered several national treasures to attract visitors.

 

The exterior of the pavilion has adopted mainly two colors, black and white, while boasting a modern look. Exhibited items include various statues, and a 3,500 year old necklace from an Egyptian queen.

Meanwhile, films and pictures will showcase Egypt's long history and rich culture. To ensure antiques are protected, the pavilion allows only 30 visitors to enter each time.

A visitor to Egyptian Pavilion said, "I can't find words to describe my feelings. I can see valuable antiques I've never seen before, without leaving China. It's great."
