The Meteo World Pavilion, funded by the United Nation's World Meteorological Organization, is the first Meteorology Pavilion in the history of the World Expo. The pavilion, dubbed the "cloud droplets", gives an in depth look into meteorology to visitors.
Nature has found a home at the Shanghai World Expo.
This pavilion, resembling a white cloud, has a strong message for visitors.
Climate change is real and so is the carbon footprint of urbanization.
Meteo World Pavilion Principal, said, "What you see now is the Climate Change Gallery. Here we display many typical pictures showing climate and urban changes, from 15 thousand year ago till now. It aims to let the visitors know more about the period of the meteorological change."
Using films, demonstrations of global observation systems, meteorological satellite models, visitors are given a real life glimpse of the effects of climate change.
To give a clearer understanding of weather services, an Expo Meteorological station was built inside the pavilion.
Visiter, said, "It's good, the movie is easy for children to understand."
Visiter said, "I feel good. It's high-tech. I can see the hope and the future of China. "
The Meteo World Pavilion is promoting a healthy and clean urban life style, by raising awareness of energy conservation and leaving a lighter carbon footprint.
