The Expo 2010 organizer today opened 10 workshops at the Baosteel Stage in Zone B of Pudong site where artists from Chinese provinces would perform and teach visitors traditional skills, including China's tea ceremonies, Chinese operas and ceramics making.

Chinese mainland's 31 provinces will send artists to the workshops every three days in turns to show different sets of skills and arts.

Currently, visitors can watch the craftsman shows including Yunjin Brocade from Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, one of the four great brocade skills; the tea ceremony from Guizhou Province and Qipao making.

Arts will also perform folk arts such as paper-cutting and clay sculpture.

China's 31 domestic provinces will hold performances and parades full of local flavor at the stage and the neighboring Celebration Square beginning from Tuesday. Each province will have a culture week.

Beijing will start as the first participant by staging a costume parade around the Pudong Expo site. Around 200 actors would wear different styles of clothes that are initially dressed in 16 famous scenarios, including the Forbidden City and the Beijing National Stadium, better known as the Bird's Nest.

Each culture week will have their indoor performances shown at the Baosteel Stage -- three 1-hour sessions every day starting at 11am, 3pm and 8pm.

Two sessions of outdoor performances, each lasting an hour, will be held at the Celebration Square at 10:30am and 3pm.
