Construction workers have finished work on two facades of the Joint-Africa Pavilion, where 42 African countries and the African Union will present their exhibitions at Expo 2010 Shanghai China.The facades are decorated with African motifs, including a huge sponge tree that represents the origin of man. Silhouettes of animals, deserts and a city skyline display the range of African landscapes to signify both an ancient and vigorous African continent. Expo organizers expect the pavilion to be completed by September. Eight other African countries also have joined the Expo and will rent pavilions from the organizer. |
