Shanghai is set to open the largest Barbie store in the world.

Staff at Mattel are busy getting the massive eight-story building ready for a grand opening in February. The finalized opening date has yet to be released.

Everything needs to be perfect, even the last details must be supervised - including whether the doll should be facing in or out on the tribute staircase.

The shop's Barbie wall shows various unique Barbie dolls that were created over the past half century.

For the launch of the flagship store, Mattel has created a Barbie Shanghai, which will be on sale from the opening onwards.
