This 16 day tournament, held at the 10,000 seat Beijing Tennis Center, attracts big name players from China and the rest of the world. There are women’s and men’s singles and doubles competitions. In 2007, the men’s event was upgraded to the ATP 500 series, and Fernando Gonzalez took the men’s singles title.
