The city of Zhongwei in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the Dubai Multi Commodities Center will explore new ways to promote bilateral cooperation through making full use of the center’s competitiveness, according to a strategic cooperation agreement signed by the two parts on June 22. It is expected to greatly facilitate the trade between China and countries along the Silk Road.
Over the past few years, the city of Zhongwei has set up Zhongguancun Scientific and Technological Industrial Park West China Cloud Base, attracted Amazon to build a workshop, and established a national advanced large-scale data center. Many enterprises of cloud computing, service, application and supporting have mushroomed in Zhongwei in recent years.
Being one of the main trade centers around the world, the Dubai Multi Commodities Center boasts large volumes of tea trade and Dubai is also the world’s third largest diamond trade center and a leading gold and silver trading hub.
