Some 150 kinds of wines produced by 40 chateaus at the eastern piedmont of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region were exhibited at the International Conference and Exhibition Center in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, on May 6.

Until the end of 2015, the wine grape planting area in Ningxia has totaled 35,333 hectares with a total output of 200,000 tons, said the spokesperson for Ningxia Grape Industry Development Bureau. There are 85 established chateaus and 99 ones under construction with a total production value of 16.6 billion yuan, he added.

Some 20 chateaus in Ningxia have set up or sought sales channels in Fujian Province. A series of Ningxia farm produce exhibitions will be held later in Quanzhou and Fuzhou cities in Fujian.
