The city of Yinchuan in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will hold 146 book reading activities this year to encourage people to read more books.

In April, a series of classics recital contests, speech competitions and reading activities among adolescents will take place centering on the theme of World Book and Copyright Day, which falls on April 23.

The 3rd Yinchuan Reading Festival will be held at the beginning of September this year. Themed with “Reading Makes Yinchuan More Beautiful,” the event will present 12 activities, such as Yellow River Poem Recital, Showing My Study Exhibition, Seeking Most Knowledgeable Man and so on.

The libraries at all levels will also conduct colorful activities to encourage local citizens to read more books through means like contribution, digital reading experience and so on.
