A Grand Sand Lake Tourism Circle integrating tourism resources in Yinchuan and Shizuishan Cities will start construction this year, according to Ningxia Sand Lake Tourism Company on February 15.

Themed with vacation tour, entertainment and sports, the grand tourism circle aims to present tourism packages featuring desert leisure, waterside vacation, mountain and military sports.

Shi Zhigang, the board director of the company, said that the construction of the grand tourism circle will change the Sand Lake from a sightseeing site to a tourism resort.

A water sports center, a Sand Lake Industrial Park and a cultural industry demonstration park are planned to be constructed there to promote the integration of tourism with other industries and the development of service industry, he added.
