The city of Shizuishan in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was listed as one of the 61 National Circular Economy Demonstration Cities, according to a joint statement released by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on February 4.

The city of Shizuishan will step up exploration of circular economy model by utilizing waste materials, develop industrial parks and nurture more service enterprises, according to the spokesperson for the municipal government. Focusing on green and low-carbon development, the city will set up a resource recycling utilization system and promote the development of circular economy.
