The Ningxia winter cultural tourist activities on Dec. 6 kicked off, themed “A winter trip to Ningxia can make you enjoy the sunshine,” set to continue until February 28, 2014.
During this time, events such as the Second Yinchuan Binhe Ice Lantern Festival, the National Media Cup Recreational Fishing Contest and the Second Ningxia Winter Leisure Fishing Festival, Ningxia Ice and Snow Carnival Celebrations and the Ningxia Folk Food Festival will take place.
In addition, tourism companies will also launch a number of incentive programs. Shahu Lake will offer free tickets to all visitors from December 1 to February 28. Some other attractions, including Shuidonggou, the Hui Culture Park, Imperial Tombs of Western Xia, Helan Mountain Rock Paintings, China Yellow River Monument and the Xumishan Grottoes, will also feature large discounts and half-price tickets.
From January 1 to February 15, Shapotou will provide all visitors with free tickets. Various star hotels will have special accommodation offers and a number of star travel agencies across the region will jointly promote a five-day preferential itinerary themed “A winter trip to Ningxia, a sunshine tour in China.”
