The 3rd annual annual China-Arab States Economic and Trade Forum is scheduled to be held in the capital Yinchuan of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from Sept. 13 to 17, according to a recent news briefing.

Host by the Ministry of Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Ningxia provincial government, the five-day event will feature multiple activities involving agriculture, industry, commerce and culture.

The forum will be composed of summits, exhibitions, trade fairs and cultural exchanges this year with the aim at promoting economic exchanges, investment cooperation and friendship between China and Arab states & Muslim regions, CCPIT vice president Zhang Wei said.

The forum has enjoyed a good reputation among Arab states since it was launched two years ago and is expected to deepen China-Arab economic cooperation.

Statistics show that the forum registered 150 contracted deals with a total investment of 173 billion yuan (US$27 billion) during the 2010 and 2011 sessions.
