Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region won nearly 200 million yuan (US$31 million) grants from the central and regional governmental budgets to finance the local energy efficiency and emission reduction projects in 2011, according to the regional economy and information committee.

By the end of November, statistics showed that 30 regional energy-saving projects had gotten approval from the central government, who allocated 119.62 million yuan of funds to support the projects.

Some 32 energy-efficiency revamping projects, involving 2.74 billion yuan of investment, won approval from the regional government from January to November and received 74 million yuan of grants from the regional governmental budget.
