The Tourism Administration of Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, launched five selected winter itineraries for tourists, which showcase the rich culture and natural resources of the Loess Highland, Xinhua reported.

The itineraries include a landscape tour of Ningxia's lakes, a tour showcasing western culture and customs, a tour of the local cultural relics, a sightseeing tour of the local ecological agriculture and a health and wellness tour at resorts, covering the city's top attractions, leisure places, rural home inns, and halal food.

Li Chengrong, head of the Tourism Administration, commented that such tours would greatly benefit the local tourism industry during the winter period. He added that the aim of the tours is to establish Yinchuan as a winter tourist destination.

In addition, tourism festivals and activities such as the ice and snow tourism festival, the dragon boat race on ice and winter fishing game will begin in the city soon. Many scenic spots also offer discounted tickets from November to next March.
