China to enhance cooperation with Arab states | |||

China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin on Tuesday pledged to enhance the country's cooperation with Arab states. Jia made the remark during a meeting with ministerial officials from Arab countries. The officials are in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to attend the 2011 China Investment and Trade Fair, as well as the second China-Arab States Economic and Trade Forum. China is willing to boost cooperation with Arab countries in various fields for the benefit of the citizens represented by both sides, said Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Jia extended a warm welcome to the officials and expressed his appreciation for their efforts to boost China-Arab relations. Mauritania's Minister of Economics Sidi Ould Tah expressed agreement with Jia's remarks on behalf of the entire Arab delegation, adding that the officials are also willing to promote relations with China. |
