The Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADBC) approved 7 loans totaling 1.44 billion yuan ($220 million) in Q1 2011 to finance new rural construction in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, according to the ADBC Ningxia Branch.

The funds are expected to be used to purchase 91,000 mu (6,060 hectares) of land in Guyuan City, Yongning County and Zhongning County, construct 119,600 square meters of rural housing in the Tengger Desert ecological tourism area of Zhongwei City, and 12.5 kilometers of highway in Guyuan City.
