Ningxia ranks 5th in GDP growth rate in China | |||

In the first three quarters of 2010, Ningxia registered a year-on-year GDP growth of 15.5 percent, the fifth highest growth rate among China's 31 mainland municipalities, provinces and autonomous regions. Ningxia's GDP reached RMB 115.83 billion ($ 17.54 billion), up 15.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The industrial investment kept fast growth, with a total completed investment of RMB 49.81 billion ($7.54 billion), up by 31 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. The completed investment in primary industry reached RMB 1.65 billion ($249.05 million), rising by 2.5 percent on previous year's same period. The investment in the secondary industry was RMB 50.26 billion ($ 7.61 billion), up by 31.2 percent on previous year's same period. The investment in the tertiary industry kept fast growth, with a total completed investment of RMB 42.86 billion ($ 6.49 billion) for the same period, up by 45.2% compared to the same period in the previous year, showing the trend of accelerated growth. |
