A tea fair kicked off in Xinchang on Monday, with the participation of tea experts, scholars and noted tea enterprises across the country. Xinchang County, which is well known for its production of Longjing Tea (Dragon Well Tea), created 540 million yuan (82.6 million U.S. dollars) of production value with its 120,000 mu (8,000 hectares) of tea planting area in 2010.
