The Jin Jiang Tower is always a good option for Chinese New Year, and is known as a popular destination for government leaders when they are visiting Shanghai. For the coming New Year, the hotel has organized a "family reunion dinner" that costs 2,800 yuan per table and provides enough food for 10 diners.
The luxurious menu includes braised shark fin with chicken, steamed crab in huadiao (rice) wine and turbot cooked in classic Cantonese-style with soy sauce.
For a more luxurious evening, guests can choose a 4,000 yuan per table option which also feeds 10 people.
The menu includes Chinese delicacies such as fotiaoqiang, cooked with bamboo shoots, scallops, sea cucumber, abalone, shark fin, chicken, salted ham and pork tendon, and is renowned for its rich taste. The menu also offers beef stew and crab dishes.
On the 34th floor, the hotels hosts a number of private dining rooms where guests can take in stunning views of the city. The price for this once-in-a-lifetime experience can be anything up to 5,000 yuan.
