Qikou town, Lin county, Shanxi Province
Located in the boundary of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Qikou town is found in the remote bank of the Yellow River in Lin county, Shanxi Province. Its history can be traced back to the Emperor Qianlong's rule in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). For over 200 years, it has been an important commercial town in northern China.
When the Chinese New Year comes, Qikou town is deeply basked in the happiness of grand celebration. The town keeps the traditional customs and traditions of the New Year holiday. During the festival, villagers like to stick red paper cuts on windows and sew cloth tigers.
