I bet you can't remember the last time you went to an amusement park. Aha, please don't tell me it was when you were a child! I fully understand your situation, as a grown-up, you are so busy with your work, your family, it seems there is no spare time for any recreational activity, let alone going to an amusement park.
Now, I suggest you slow down your pace and relax for a few hours. That's what I did last week, when I went to the Beijing Amusement Park and retrieved some of my sweetest childhood memories.
With more than 40 recreational rides and stalls in an area of 400,000 square meters, the park has been operating successfully for 20 years. It is well recognized as one of the pioneering amusement parks in Beijing, and in China, and it has the reputation of being a "zero-incident amusement facility".
What impressed me most was the park's pleasant environment. Because of its lush surroundings, you will not find yourself sweating in the heat of the sun because there is always a tree nearby to seek refuge under.
What further delighted me was the ticket price, a reasonable 120 yuan to take almost all of the facilities within the park.
For those fun and excitement seekers, Beijing Amusement Park is sure not to let you down. The park has Beijing's tallest ferris wheel, China's biggest 4-D cinema, and the newly introduced Rock-and-Roll Steel Warrior, which will offer you a brand new experience compared to other theme parks. There are plenty of things to do, like ride a super-speed roller coaster, go-kart race cars. You can visit the fantasy aquarium, ghost castle, merry-go-round, water slides, pirate ship, bumper cars, rotating gyroscope, and other recreational facilities that come from Japan, United States, Italy, and other countries.
As a timid young woman, karting, bomber cars and the ferris wheel were my favorites. I tried them several times. Here, I highly suggest you visit the park on weekdays to avoid queuing for a long time for your favorite facilities.
The park is also equipped with other supporting facilities, such as tea houses, fast food restaurants, snack stalls, souvenir shops, and a small theater that holds about 300 people. Large scale carnival celebrations with a parade are also held during major public holidays.
I am sure you will have a great day in this fantasy land!
