Still, NWNU has 18 colleges, 49 departments, two teaching departments and 101 teaching and research centers, six experimental centers and one national key research base in humanities and social sciences.NWNU, whose predecessor is National Beiping Normal University, was the first normal university in China. It was founded in 1902 and moved to Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province, in 1941. Although it has been around for 110 years, its far location from Beijing, lack of investment and support from the government and civil society has limited its development.


Tuition:2,500 – 6,800 yuan per year
