Property Price Control
The "Property Price Control" of 2010 is even more popular in China than the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It is not because of football's lack of excitement but rather due to the fact that property prices in China are too high.
Since the very beginning of the year, roaring property prices in China have hit a nerve with the average Chinese, for whom, buying an apartment has become more difficult than ever before.
To rein in the soaring housing prices, the Chinese government has introduced a slew of restrictions on purchases this year with the intention to cool off speculation in the market.
These measures have proven to be effective in controlling property prices before, however there is still a long way to go before property is affordable to the masses.
