China gained its first triumph at the 2008 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship starting in Vietnam on Sunday, crushing Kazakhstan 3-0.
Having good individual skills with higher physical status, young Chinese players won match in three straight sets. Earlier, Thailand defeated Indonesia with the same final score of 3-0.
The round-robin championship, from June 1-7 in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, features athletes from eight countries, namely China, Kazakhstan, Japan, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Thailand, Iran, Indonesia and Vietnam.
