Brazilian tennis star and three-time winner of the French Open Gustavo Kuerten is preparing for his last appearance on Rolland Garros.
Kuerten admitted Saturday that this could be his last in the tournament of his illustrious career.
Few players in the modern game of tennis have been so well received in the France Open as Kuerten. His first title of the Rolland Garros came in 1997 when he won the tournament and won over the crowd. He won again in 2000 and 2001. Kuerten is scheduled to play against Phillippe Chatreir in the first round of the competition.
Kuerten began to have problems with his quadriceps in 2001. Since then, he has slowly been on the decline, restricted due to pains and injuries.
