Wang Meng takes women's, Lee Ho-suk men's 1000 meters

China's Wang Meng made it three gold medals in three days by winning the women's 1000 meters on the final day of the World Short Track Speedskating Championships on Sunday.

Wang finished in 1:32.527, ahead of compatriot Zhou Yang in 1:32.595. Canada's Kalyna Roberge took bronze with 1:32.636. Yang Shin-young of South Korea was fourth.

In the men's event, South Korea's Lee Ho-suk - silver medalist in the 1500 meters thrilled local fans to skate 1:26.462. Apolo Anton Ohno of the United States finished in 1:26.528 to collect silver to go with the gold he won in the 500 meters.

Song Kyung-taek, the winner of the 1500m event, finished third with 1:26.615. Charles Hamelin of the United States was fourth.

Lee Seung-hoon of South Korea took gold in the men's super 3000 meters with a time of 4:53.620. Charles Ryan Leveille and Ohno, both of the United States, finished second and third with respective times of 4:54.732 and 5:00.838.

In the women's 3000 meters super final, Zhou Yang came first with 5:46.063 ahead of South Korea's Jung Eun-ju in 5:46.465. Katherine Reutter of the United States took bronze.

South Korea won gold in the men's 5000 meters relay, skating 6:51.148. Canada was second in 6:52.318 and Britain collected bronze with a time of 6:56.765.

The hosts also took gold in the women's 3000 meters relay with a time of 4:16.261. Canada was again runner-up in 4:20.254 ahead of China in third, skating 4:23.022.
