Zimbabwe Cricket has said the local team will tour Pakistan
later this month despite fears over the security situation, The
Herald reported on Monday.
The Zimbabwean team is expected to play five one-dayers in
Pakistan beginning on January 26, but concerns have been raised
following the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir
Bhutto.
"We are definitely going ahead with the tour," said Zimbabwe
Cricket chairman Peter Chingoka. "ZC has an obligation to fulfill
its obligations under the Future Tours program."
Zimbabwe are scheduled to leave home on January 11 and return on
February 8.
