Chinese captain Zheng Zhi scored for Charlton Athletics in the 21st minute to help the England League Championship side tie Norwich 1-1 on Boxing Day.

 

It was the Chinese midfielder's sixth goal of the season but Charlton couldn't hold on to the advantage with Sam Sodje sent off in the 30th minute with a red card.

 

Darel Russell headed home a corner after 73 minutes to put his team level at 1-1 with the visiting side.

 

The draw places Charlton fifth in the league with 39 points from 24 games.
