The Brazilian men's volleyball team notched up their fifth
straight victory in the volleyball World Cup in Japan after beating
Australia 3-0 on Sunday.
The only defeat of the Brazilian team came at the hands of the
Americans in their first game of the competition.
The team has since beaten convincingly the Egyptians, the
Spaniards, the Bulgarians, the Puerto Ricans and the
Australians.
In their game against Australia, the Brazilian team captain,
Serginho, was named the game's MVP.
Brazil's highest scorer was Dante, who scored 14 points. Giba
added 12 points and Andre Nascimento contributed 11. For the
Australian team, Carroll led his team with 14 points.
Brazil now has 11 points, just one point behind leaders Russia.
The Russian team is the only team left in the World Cup
undefeated.
