Shanghai Shenhua left back Sun Xiang is likely to return to the Netherlands where he played the champions PSV Eindhoven for the latter half of the 2006-07 season.

But this time, the bidder is possibly Vitesse.

Sina.com reports Sun Xiang's broker, surnamed Wu, has got along well with negotiators with the Dutch side, but the deal still awaits a nod from Shanghai Shenhua, Sun's owner.

Wu said he would contact Shenhua later and everything is due to be clear on Friday evening.

Vitesse has offered a bid of 500,000 euro for the player in a loan transfer or a buyout.

If successful, Sun Xiang will be the second Chinese international to play for Vitesse, after Yu Hai.
